Terms of Use
Effective 13 October 2026
Be yourself, be kind, post only what is real and what you have the right to post, and score fairly. Campaigns are for real issues and real people: never use them to target someone.
1. Using Wootout
By using the app or website you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission. If you do not agree, please do not use Wootout.
2. Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep one account per person: creating extra accounts to change scores or views is not allowed. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
3. Your content
- You keep ownership of the reels, photos, letters and other content you post.
- You give Wootout a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, stream and display your content in the app and website so the service can work, including in stories you choose to share. This ends when you delete the content or your account, except for reasonable copies that are removed in the ordinary course.
- You promise you own the content or have permission to use it (including any music), and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights.
- Reels should be purposeful: something people can learn from or use. New reels are checked, partly with the help of an AI service, and reels that do not fit may not be published. You can appeal, and a person will take a look.
4. Campaigns
- Start a campaign only about a real issue. New campaigns are checked by a person before they go public.
- Posts to a campaign must be filmed or photographed live, by you, where you are. Do not post someone else's photos or videos.
- Never use a campaign to target, expose or harass a private person, or to share someone's personal details, address or face against their wishes.
- If you add a sponsor, you confirm they have agreed to be named. Wootout does not check or endorse sponsors.
- A campaign runs between the dates set for it. After its end date it takes no new posts.
- Whoever started a campaign can delete it, together with everything on its wall.
5. Letters, messages and buddies
Letters and messages are for people who want to hear from you. Do not send spam, threats or unwanted sexual content. Anyone can block you, and blocked people cannot message you.
6. Scores, views and badges
You can score any reel from 1 to 10, including your own, and change your score later. Each person counts once as a view. Scores, views and badges are calculated by us, and our decisions about which ones count are final. Badges and Woots are for fun and recognition; they have no money value and cannot be sold or transferred.
7. What is not allowed
- Nudity or sexual content, graphic violence, hate, harassment, threats or bullying.
- Content that infringes copyright or someone's privacy, impersonates someone, or is false, misleading or spam.
- Manipulating scores, views or campaigns: multiple accounts, coordinated or paid activity, or scripts.
- Trying to break, probe or overload the service, or to access other people's data.
8. Reporting, blocking and moderation
You can report any reel, post or person and block anyone from inside the app. Content that receives several reports is hidden while we review it. We may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these Terms, and we may do so without notice where safety requires it.
9. Notifications
If you allow notifications we may send you alerts about letters, messages, buddy requests, your reels and the campaigns you are part of. You can turn them off in your phone's settings.
10. Service changes and availability
We may change, pause or end parts of Wootout. We work to keep it running but do not promise it will always be available or error free.
11. Disclaimers and liability
Wootout is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for what people post or do, or for what happens between people who meet through the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of India, unless the law of your country gives you the right to go elsewhere.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change matters we will update the date above. Using Wootout after a change means you accept it.
